hi new here i have a jlo 440 in a maxIV i got the engine running then recoil broke i put starter on it now it wont run has spark new plugs 120 compression on bolth cylinder's if i put a little gas in cylinder's it still wont fire

check your keyway on the crankshaft / flywheel see if its broken.. Could be out of time possibly. Had that issue on a motor i was working on for my amphicat.If it don't have 6 wheels and floats.. isn't any good to me. Have you ever tried floating a 4 wheeler across a pond... Doesn't work very well does it?

Make sure the starter turns in the right direction.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

son of a ****** i took the starter off kawasaki 440 not thinking fliped it end for end and put it on now motor lays in pieces lol now time to put it back together what is the compression saposed to be one person told me 120 was bad another told me it was great
