I'm looking for a good used carb for my stock JLO 440 if anyone has one for sell. I have the stock carb and I think it is a 30mm or 32mm flange style. Its giving me trouble leaking at the bottom at the bolt where the main jet goes inside. What size is the best ? Is it better to go with a newer carb style?

In my experience, a 30mm is nice for driving around trails and helps keep you from beating on the engine. A 32mm works well if you are looking to tune for performance or use with a tuned pipe. If you are running a 6 bolt head engine move up to a 34mm or 36mm. I think the basic old Mikuni's are good. Look for a 2 bolt flange to round mount adapter. I have found them on old sleds. May need to grind something to work.

Hey thanks !! a 32mm would probably be good and give a little more power. I dont want to lose too much low end. I thought about trying to find some 6 bolt heads to see how much it would increase the power. The 440 is pretty fast now. I would not mind maybe doing some small stuff to it to get some more power. Do you have any suggestions for this engines? Do you know if you have to do a lot of modifying to install the 6 bolt heads or everything just bolts up to the JLO block ?

The 6 bolt heads/5 port jugs will give you a big increase in power and they'll bolt right onto your bottom end. I used a JLO 400cc bottom end with my 6 bolt heads/5 port jugs and it was a simple bolt on mod that gave me lots of power. The 440 6 bolt head engine is one of my favorite 2 stroke engines......you'll be VERY impressed with it!"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"
