hello im new here. i have a 400 jlo rockwell type 2f400-2 motor number 399 43768 that i need help with . can anyone tell me what year it is ? and what piston brand and numbers will fit ? for a standard bore . it is a 4 head bolt motor twin and belt driven fan. i cant find much information on the web . any help would be great thanks in advance

Hey, 'jeeps;

The "dash 2" is a fairly early engine but parts are still pretty plentiful. You'll find a service manual copy on this site. Most of the pistons (and other parts) you find online will list what engine series they fit. Almost all the four-bolt 400 engines use the same pistons.
