need new vanguard info

Looking at buying a new 18 h.p. vanguard for my hustler. Have read on other sites that if you buy one from for example northern tool that it does'nt come with the correct governor and throttle linkage. Does anyone know about this, Thanks

That's just a load of crap that Route6x6 tells people so they go and buy an engine from Richard's Relics at a ridiculously high price. Don't pay attention to what it says on there. They're the same engine and all you have to do is call up Recreatives Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511 and get the correct governor spring for an AATV application and put a slight bend in the governor arm with some pliers. That's all there is to it.
