1983 argo 8x8 tires?

I have access to a 1983 argo 8x8. Four of the tires (20x10x8) are bad. They don't make that tire now so argo says I can use a 22x10x8. These cost $150 each. Are there any other tires out there that will work for me. They also need to fit the plastic tracks I have. Also, if I go with the 22's can I mount just four of them and use the remaining 20's I have. Will this setup work with the track system. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks.

Hi Gras, you will want to get 8 of the same sized tires so if you upgrade to 22" tires, upgrade all 8 of them at the same time. The Argo tires will swim the best but like you mentioned, they are expensive. Browse through the tire forum to see what other tires people are running. There are some less expensive options out there but there are always compromises you will have to make like swimming speed vs. their capabilities in mud. Decide what kind of riding you will be doing the most of and go from there.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take a browse and see what everyone else is using. Might just have to bite the bullet and buy all new.
