  • Tire to track changeover day

Its 50ish degrees outside and sunny makes it feel like 60,s here in southern Ontario, since Iam back from the north for a couple weeks this seemed like a good day for the late fall tracking up of the Avenger.Tell ya this job gets a little tougher each year, and with having the type of tracks that I run adding spacers is a pain in the butt, and coupled with the fact that I use 25 inch swimmers in the summer and 24,s in the winter lets just say the driveway looks like Iam running a Chop Shop, the good news is its not cold and snowing so I have improved my timing somewhat, anyway all done along with a tub wash and bearing grease job,and again keeping track of the hours verses bearing failure we are at 383 hours since the last bearing job and all is well (RD take note)when they start to go I will be changing out axles and bearings to the HDI kit.So its a brown one and a Ibuprofen and back down to clean up they are calling for rain changing to snow for the balance of the week so its indoors and finish a complete service then back in the trailer awaiting the next run north.Cheers NCT

Installed new Adair 18" tracks Saturday. Aired up to 5 psi. How much air are you running? This is my first set and they didn't come with any instructions so I used 5 psi as RD stated in his video. My machine is a 2009 8x8 frontier on 24" tires. concerned with track tension. Don't want to put to much stress on the bearings. We have a foot of snow and tried them out Sunday. They climbed well and rode smooth. They were a pain to install but overall i'm very happy with them. If anyone knows how much slack the tracks should have let me know.
    Thanks
