  • Tube size for running with tracks

    Hi All,

We are looking to get tubes for our work buffalos on tracks. The tracks seem to be pinching the tires causing flats. Running without tracks isn't really an option in our mud here. Anyone happen to know the best tube size to run? They are the 21 inch tires.

    Thanks.

    Tracks pinching tires

    Hi All,

I've read through some threads but still have some questions. We are running tracks on our Buffalo's at site (deep mud) and are having a bit of a problem with blown/torn sidewalls. We have the pressure set at 8-10 psi to maintain track tension. Less than that we lose the tracks. More than that we snap axles. We have found that tubes get leaks around the valve stems from slippage on the wheels.

It came from the factory with Carlise tires, and were wondering if a set of goodyear rawhides will hold up better. By that I mean do they have better sidewalls?

    Thanks.

If I were you I would look at removing the tubes completely and using a sealant such as Permatex to keep the tires from spinning on the rims. Are you running the Max 8" beadlock wheels or an aftermarket wheel?
