I looked at both of the tire pics you posted . The first tire looks like a " Mudlite " knock off copy . A forum member here will tell you that this tire won,t swim. I would bet money that the other tire you posted here , is even worse in the water . If you want tires that are more aggressive in the mud , than the amphib tires comonly used on 6x6 and 8x8,s , stay with the ATV tires that have been proven to swim fairly well , but not fast , but will mud extremely well . I will list the ATV tires that swim , and in the order of water speed .
1. Swamp Fox Plus
2. Vampire
3. Mudbug
Dan ( AKA mightymaxIV ) uses a combination of Swamp Fox Plus and Vampires
You can watch video,s he has posted here to see that this tire combo works .
Lee ( AKA Georgia Mudbug ) runs all Mudbugs . He loves them . They don,t swim fast , but Lee beats the ATV,s that try to follow him in the water and through the mud ,and out of the mud
Don,t waste your money on tires that are not proven to work on an amphib ,or you may just waste you money like I did .
Thanks for posting up the list again...which made me have a good idea (I think)....maybe we can put a sticky in the tire forum that lists all of the proven swimmers and non-swimmers? Then every time we get new info on a tire we could just add it to the list. I also read on the route 6x6 website that the Super Swampers will swim. But it was just one post by a guy that had them on his Argo.

1999 max 2 18 b&s 22 tires custom . new max iv 23 k 26 i/n tires brown . ht cable promark winch . new toy 1972 attex st400 400ccjlo and she will be bad . ( the frog ) if it don't float with out you getting wet . don't bring it ! R.I.P sage rogers 4 11 09 . you can't fix stuped !!!!! raceone 3 .)
Before Dan started running the Vampire and Swamp Fox Plus tire combo , he ran all Swamp Fox Plus , atv tires . When He ran all Swamp Fox,s , he ran the front tire,s foward , the middle tire,s backwards , and the rear tire,s facing fowards .
This gave him the best overall water speed he told me . He also recently told me , that the Vampires at 2 psi , ( wider foot print ) worked even better than all six Swamp Fox,s when driving through the reeds in the swamp , and also the great ride on hard ground. This is because the Vampires have a softer side wall . Dan says he loves his Vampires for the kind of swamp riding he does . They are great for traction and exellent for sheading mud . He chose tire traction over water speed . This is the way Lee ( Argo Frontier ) and I think also ( Max IV ) The Vampire is a WIDE tire though , ( 11.5 ) so it may or may not be the right choice for you .

I talked to dan about his tire setup. The vampires sound like the way to go. Its not so bad when you just need two tires, but 6... I just want the best choice before rolling the dice. I have a kawi ta440 wich is around 40 to 45hp im told. Do you all think I have enough motor for the vampires? Im not a two stroke guy. This is the first one ive owned.
