  • track help please

I just picked up a 1991 Max Iv today and it came with a set of tracks that are rubber, theres no cleats on them they are flat with a u shape cut in them, Im thinking these will stand out a little after I install them, These tracks look like there a few feet short when I lay them down next to my machine, The man I bought it from says im to let the air out of the tires then install the tracks then re-air them up. My tire size is 21x11.0x8. is this the correct size tire on my Max? and another question it looks as he has the tires on the wrong side, isnt the treaded v shape to be faceing forward to get the traction needed > <------ he has the treads faceing ----> <
which way am I supposed to have them?
any help would be great Thank you.

Your tires are facing the right direction. In most other cases your tread would be facing < but with amphibious atv's the tread faces > in order for your aatv to swim in ponds and low/no current creeks. The tires size you stated is correct. As far as the tracks I would say try and see just like the guy said.

          For your tire question: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/max-a...tml#post122764

As for the tracks, there is an installation manual in the manual section of the site on the front page: How to Install Tracks
