Got new ADAIR SNOWTRACKS installed earlier this week on a 2012 Frontier 650HD 6x6.
Waiting now for the seasons first BLIZZARD to start anytime now here in MAINE. Cant wait to get out and put these tracks to the test! Thanks to Tim and Mike for all their help given the fact that I am brand new to all of this. Will post photos later this weekend! Bill

First ride on adair snow tracks in 2ft of fresh powder

Just got back from first ride in the FRONTIER 650HD 6x6 with ADAIR 18 inch SNOWTRACKS..with 2 ft of fresh powder,I was very scepitcal as to how the machine would go in dry snow..with no moisture and no real packing and temps well below freezing, I almost decided to wait until tomorrow with above freezing temps forcasted and possibly a little rain which would have made for great track conditions...BUT..We couldnt wait!! The ADAIR SNOWTRACKS were TOTALLY UNBELEIVABLE even in way less than perfect snow conditions! There was no where we could not go with ease! It blew our minds..After riding a Polaris Ranger with tracks for the last 3 years there was NO COMPARISON!! THIS FRONTIER WITH ADAIRS IS THE MACHINE!! My Ranger could not even begin to do what this machine does..I got hung up in a couple of 6ft drifts and simply backed up and then powered through! With my new found confidence I attempted to go through a deep 5 ft ditch which had a vertical drop..as I went down into the ditch it became apparent that the other side was squared, and there I sat..Being new to this I immediatly thought that I was done for the day and started trying to figure out how I was ever going to be able to get out..there was no backing out! After composing myself I was able to spin one side of the track which caused the machine to slide sideways into the ditch and I backed out...We couldnt beleive it! For those of you who have expiriance with this type of setup, Im sure your thinking that I am a little over reactive, but for myself, my son, and my friend who was with me..WE WERE AMAZED at the capabilities of this machine and tracks. We have video of everything except my departure from the ditch, but the tracks in the snow will tell the story! Thanks Mike and TIM at ADAIR for an AWESOME PRODUCT!!! Bill pictures and video to follow shortly

Glad you are enjoying your machine Bigbuck. Like you I was taken back by just how good the Argo Frontier and Adair track system works. When I purchased the Argo I owned a Suzuki Vinson with a set of Tatou Tracks. It didn't take me long to see that the Argo would out perform the Vinson in almost every trail condition except speed. Mud that was a challenge for the Vinson was a cake walk for the Argo with Adair tracks.

I ran my Argo one time without tracks and immediately got stuck in a mud hole and was certain I would never get the machine out. I put the tracks back on and drove through that same mud hole an hour later with out any stress what so ever on the machine. Argo's and Adair tracks have made me a believer.

Now all you have to do is get us some good video and post it so we can all enjoy the ride.

                      Dan

Thanks Dan.. I definatly have no regrets goin from the Ranger with tracks to the Argo..It really has exceeded all my expectations..and the ADAIRS were just a huge bonus! I have the next two weeks off and hope to get plenty of videos and pictures...Bill

You have a very nice looking machine there, Impressive.
A few thoughts, and these are just my own thoughts:
You might want to cut the end off your Exhaust pipe, maybe 1.5" or so. I've seen a few now that hit trees, and bent the pipe and ripped the mesh screen. Guys around here are cutting them for that reason.
Tim at Adair make a nice Ice Cleat for those tracks, I put 1 Cleat on every 5th Grouser, and it make a significant differance on Ice and Hard Pack.
I also pulled the short Bolts out of the Track extensions, and replaced with longer bolts, you don't have to do all of them. Think I went with 2" long, and this also helps dig in when in Ice and Hard Pack.

Just a few ideas that have helped in my riding conditions, they may interest you.

Thank you RD for your tips..I will gladly receive all you can send my way!! I do have the ice cleats and installed just as you stated..They work great I have a steep back yard which was very icey before we got snow, the cleats allowed me to crawl up no problem!..but...I keep my machine in the garage and took them off after I saw that the cleats enjoy eating concrete..I plan on putting them back on as needed given the fact they dont take long to install. I really like your idea of the longer bolts and will definately do that! Thanks again..Bill

Do you leave the bolts in the Grouser holes where the Cleats mount? I think I would, and should have done that. I think it's going to be a pain finding each mounting location on my tracks now, and they are all probably full of rocks and grit
