  • Track question

Just put my 13" tracks on and went out in our 18" of fresh snow.Making a hard turn i got chain slap.Got back on hard pack and it went away.Question Would snow build up in track and tires cause that??? When I serviced and oiled the chains I didn't notice any stretch.Any thoughts ??? Thank you

Its pretty normal. When you make a turn, it reverses the load on that side of the machine...in deep or heavy snow there is more force needed to skid steer the machine and so if you are turning agreesivly you will probably notice more drive train shock...one thing you might want to check is the adjustment of the idler chains because if they are real loose it will make the machine feel pretty sloppy

I wouldn't worry to much about the snow build up
