  • Tire ply?

My HDI axle and bearings are on the way. As for the new track I have not made up my mind yet. But As for tires??? I have 8 brand new maxies snow tires that came with the argo. And I have not put on yet. But they are just a 2 ply tire. They would be ok for sand and used on your lawn I would not try to do any bushing waken with them. 2 ply tires just two thin. I see 4 ply seams to be the most common tire. Have many of you run 6 ply I know they will be a little harder rideing but they should be tough and hopefully with less flats. How do you find the 6 ply tires ride? My rideing will be mostly on sharp rocks and going over down trees sharp sticks in summer, and winter it will be all on snow

    hi
Yes The ply does have an effect on comfort .
As u mentioned some people do have a use for there 6 ply but not for myself .
A friend of mine has a argo 6x6 and the difference was worth the change back to 4 ply ,far better on your back .

I do ride my avenger with 6 ply ( bearclaws). They run rough but at least no flat. Put less air in them and not too bad. I had lots of flats with 2 ply and even the 4 ply.
