Ok, speaking of tires, And I'm just curious, let's say the 8" tires and rims used on boat and small utilty trailers, assuming the rim had the correct pattern for, say my Max II, and I bet there's something out there, if someone were to use an AATV on pavement for an extended period, would there be any reason you couldn't or wouldn't fit something like this on an AATV?

Member whipper-ag has put trailer tires on his Springer for transport purposes. So it can be done an rims will mount up. I actually have trailer rims on my racer, but they are a wider rim than the skinny rims on many trailers. The problem with street tires is they probably won't skid steer well. It will but additional stress on your drivetrain trying to turn with them. Especially at low speed. Another issue is going to be ride quality. Street tires don't have the flex in the sidewall typical of the tires we commonly use.l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

OMG that's, uh, ugly! Thanks. Nice to know it can be done. I wonder if you were to use radial tires if the would make things better than bias ply. I know a couple of older cars and a pick up I had with bias plies turned into entirely different rides when I put radials on them.

We use to let Pocono use our machines for rescue and security in the stands back in the 80's, we put golf cart tires on to deal with the asphalt and save those 20 inch runamuks.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
