  • Rock Doctor Video "HELP"

New to this forum and I'm looking for the video Rock Doctor made for rebuilding "inner /Outer bearing and idler shaft" As stated earlier just got my first Argo and want to fix cracking/ crunching noises - forum figures it could be these bearings - best to start somewhere- all help is greatly appreciated.

Go to his channel on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/user/RockDoctor07/videos?view=0

That has all of his videos. It shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to scroll through them all and find the one you're after.

I don't think I have made a vid for doing Idler Shaft Bearings. I have done the one for the Outer Axle Bearings and a couple on upgrading from stock Outer Axle Bearings to HDI Outer Axle Bearings.
If you want to check your Idler ShaftBearings, it's best to pop the 3 chains apart, then see if you can move the Idler Shaft up and down
          Hope that helps a bit

Thanks Doc -but when it comes to this new machine I have no idea where and what an idler shaft is - is it part of the transmission housing? -would you have any pics - I'd really appreciate this. Thanks

go to beaverdam argo's website and look for the manuals to download. Once you look at the exploded parts diagrams and parts list it becomes more clear. It will be invaluable for maintaining your argo.

In short, the idler shafts are located on either side of the trans. The chainsfrom the trans run downtown the idler shafts. The idler shafts drive to your front axles and second axles.
The idler shaft bearings are the same as the bearings on your outer axles.
Hope that helps, if you need more info, just ask
