That's pretty cool. Took me a bit to figure out he was going in reverse. Looked like it climbed out pretty well.

Looked like there were times he was floating and other times he was probably bouncing or touching bottom a fair bit. Either way break-off ice as tall as the track is pretty tough to get a purchase on.

yes, made in Timmins. The 2-piece steel crossers for sure. I'm not sure if Chris assembled them or not. They do look to be all steel though.

That second video is pretty impressive, I am starting to regret not buying a 650 Frontier 8x8. I could have got one completely equipped for the same price as my HD. The more I see of the 650 Frontier the more I am impressed with its capabilities. I like the fact that you can get the machine with a 3.3 or low range tranmission. My budy lee has a 6x6 Frontier with the 3.3 transmission and he pulls 4x4's out of pudding mud in high gear. Impressive. I always thought my HD was geared just a little to high.

Dan, you can always change the clutch weights to delay the "upshift".....I'm doing just that right now. http://www.6x6world.com/forums/trans...-test-run.html I have the weights in the right ball park, I just need a good test run in the daylight (hopefully tonight) and I'll post up the results.

Yes, Mudbug made this clutch modification (changing the weights) and is very happy with the results. He now runs the engine right in the sweet spot and rarely has to use the low range any more. He engine doesn't over heat as much as it did because the engine is always in the work range and not over stressed in deep mud or other trail riding conditions.
