What Tires???

Hey Guys,
I am new to the 6X6 world and I have just picked up a Max IV with a 16hp Vanguard engine. I am in need of new tires and rims and want to make sure i get the right thing. I will be mostly trail / creek riding and mud riding. What is the biggist tire I can run and what model tire do you recomend???

I would run these Tru Power Tire 26-12-12 Titan / Carlisle 4 ply Agricultural Tire which are basically the same as the goodyear super terra grips. Here is the link - Tru Power Agricultural Tires - Titan Tire Store
If you can find some the 25X12-9 goodyear rawhide III's are a good tire and soft ride. If you want to get some aggressive mud tires go with the Vampire ASX 26x13-12 tires. Keep in mind you have a 16hp engine in that Max IV and I do not have experience running bigger tires with the smaller engine in the Max IV. I'm sure other members on 6x6world do though. Good Luck

As for what brand, look through the tire forum and use the search and you should be able to find out what tires people are using and which ones are the best for terrain vs water speed. Don't go crazy on a wide, large lugged tire though since you have the 16HP motor. It may have trouble spinning them if you get into some really thick mud. I would stick to some 25" Rawhide III's if you can find them or some of the Argo AT189 tires if water speed is a concern and money isn't.
