ITP Mudliets or Argo replacement tires-Give me your thoughts

I have a argo 8x8 response that i have been procrastinating putting tires on. I essentially have narrowed it to two options, 22" ITP Mudlites or the Argo factory tires. I would like to hear everyones opinions between the two. A big thing i am considering is the price as a set of 8 argo tires is ~$1016.00 from my local dealer or ~$750.00 for the 8 ITP mudlites.

The Mudlites don't swim, but they'll do better in the mud than the Argo tire. It's pretty much always a trade off with tires for our machines.

Match the tires to your needs. If you plan on doing any swimming go with the argo tires. If not go with the others.

You could use four Argo tires in the rear for swimming and four mud lite tires in the front for better traction climbing up hills and through the mud.

Is a good idea

Put the back tires on orientated to swim forward, put the second last set of tires on to swim backward, and the front 4 tires on for mudding. You'll be the master mudholer, lol.

I wonder how this would make the machine ride. I could use better mudability . I have had to pull the winch too much lately, granted the bald tires and deep ruts from trucks arent helping. Has anyone ever tried mixing tires like this before on their machine?

Or just get yourself a set of adair classic tracks tracks or the pro series track and you can go through and over pretty much anything? Just an idea. I know its initially more money but cost effective in the long run.

And you wouldn't have to worry about replacing tire unless they wont hold air.

How much are the adair tracks running new? I know they arent cheap. Is anyone selling a used set for an 8x8?

I'm pretty sure they're over 3k. Thinking 3500.

Cruiser812 go to Adairargosales.com the track prices are listed under the tracks drop down tab. 1 example would be Adair's classic tracks for your response with your tires $1840.00. You might have to pay for some wheel extensions and I would run track tuners on the middle 4 axles. Tim and Mike at Adair Argo can help you find the right combo. Tim might even have an older generation of track for less cost? Good luck
