There are certain closed cell urathane foam materials out there, that a guy could try to inject into the stem, not sure what type of foam is needed, though. Just watched a program about making solid tires, and they used this type of foam. Most of them are 2 part, and expand when mixed together.
I'm guessing the foam is very expensive, and injecting into rotten tires might be throwing good money after bad.
There has to be a set of used tires out there cheap if a guy looks hard enough. Good luck with it.

If your doing the balloons in your avatar you would be better off buying new, an ag shop could get them filled for you but the weight would hurt you. rims and tires are the best bet, there are some in the classifieds forum, if you have rims and tires tubes are the cheapest for now.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

That's it. I've had tyres that you could put your finger through the cracks in the side wall, these were just leaking when I put it in and it just felt like it had a tube inside and they are still being used. Start with about 300 mls per tyres. If it still leaks I've put 100 mls straight Latex in on top of the mix and run it around. That worked.Originally posted by Rock Doctor View PostTire Sealant

My guess is the Anti-Freeze keeps it from freezing. Also, I believe Tire Slime does not freeze, although it does thicken up a bit.Originally posted by spookum View PostSilly question: how does it work at below zero F? Does it pool on one side of the tire and freeze?

There are places that will fill your tire with foam and make it puncture proof. I priced it a couple of years back for another project and it was quite pricey, although these are small tires so it may be more affordable. I think it also makes the tires heavy and hard, not something desirable when you're looking for the tires to help you float and absorb shocks.

we have a machine at work for packing our equipment when we ship it and it uses a urethane 2 part foam. we have done some fun stuff with it and if you spray it into a tire it will expand and fill the whole tire up but I bet it would ride like crap. you can do the same thing with the foam they sell for insulating your house that comes in a red and yellow spray can.

I use a BIG syringe to put the stuff in the tire, AFTER removing the schrader valve from the valve stem.
Only use HALF of the Antifreeze in the mix.
After you have the mixture in the tire, push the other half of the antifreeze through the open valve stem, it washes all the mixture down/off the threads and the schrader seats better. The trouble with retirement is.... I never get a day off !!!!
