Who is that handsome guy on that new HDI?..........
Just so there is no confusion, the 14.5" belted track with cleat kit is the same as the 18.5 belted track,14.5" without the winter kit, 18.5" with the kit.
This is the last time she was so clean.lol.

Hey twizted1
The total width on this HDI with the winter kit installed, just as you see, is 69 3/4".
So far, for my aplication, this track design with the winter kits,is very aggressive, and works wonders in my swamp climbing over submerged logs and root systems.

Thank you. That's about what I figure my conquest to be also. My trailer is only 6 1/2' wide. So if I trailer it with the winter kit, I'll just have to be careful putting on and off the trailer. Thanks again.Originally posted by foxvalley View PostHey twizted1

What's in the box? I didn't get a box. lol They look good to me. I had to order a bearing. So I have to wait to put mine on now.Originally posted by Rock Doctor View PostI got my new set, hope to get them installed on my next set of days off.
This newer generation is slightly different than my original set, I think they will be a little better.

Rebuild kit for the 18.5 Adair Chained Tracks that you can see wrapped up and stacked on a pallot in the background.Originally posted by Twizted1 View PostWhat's in the box? I didn't get a box. lol They look good to me. I had to order a bearing. So I have to wait to put mine on now.
Even though I ended up with a set of extensions for the new Pro Tracks, I have the option of removing the extensions for summer use.
Anyone in Canada want an inexpensive Adair Track project? The box should include everything needed to refurbish the Chained Tracks.

Tomorrow is the day. Just put the bearing in. Adairs HD bearing. I think I like them. I like how they beef things up anyway. Tomorrow the tracks are going on. Can't wait! Video and pics to come, soon.Originally posted by foxvalley View PostHey Doc, What changes were made on the new set,vs. the old set,and are the cleats the same as on the old set,as you mentioned you "clammed" one.(or was that your daughter, lol)

Well, these cleats are obviously longer, being part of a winter kit, and they are made of thicker material. They look much more heavy duty than I remember the old ones being. I can't compare, as the old ones are still out in the bush.
As for the Grousers, same material, but a different face design, little more aggressive. Looks like they will hang on better when turning, and will not slip sideways as easily. That's one thing I found really noticible, new tracks are quite Slippy, but as you scratch up the Grouser faces, they get much better.

I can stop scratching my head wondering how one of those cleats clammed, looks like it would be hard to clam the new ones even with a sledge.Originally posted by Rock Doctor View PostWell, these cleats are obviously longer, being part of a winter kit, and they are made of thicker material. If you want to put a really cool pattern on your concrete slab, just do about 5 or 6 doughnuts on it with your cleats,AWESOME!.If you do it at night, you get a spark show to boot.
I almost forgot to mention that the cleat kit works great for squishing all those moles under your lawn,it's so cool because they get squished, and planted all at the same time,no fuss,no muss.Great organic fertilizer.
