Large run 24" Frontier (AT189) tires and Conquests.

So I outfitted my conqest with the 24" Frontier tires sometime ago and was wondering what I should do with the largest one that would not fit, being around 76" Circumference. Then I stumbled across another website with a possible solution at shrinking it a bit.

I would definitely try the oven method it couldn't hurt and maybe not tell the wife lol? Thanks for the info and Link.

can you return it for a smaller diameter tire?

Check with Dan67 and ask what he did. He has a conquest that he put 24" tires on about 6 months ago.

When I ordered my tires I called many different argo dealers to see how many 24" tires they had in stock and if so, could they measure the circumference for me. I got lucky and a dealer had allot of tires in stock and he sent me his 8 smallest tires, my smallest was 73" and my largest is 75". I have the smallest pair on the front and they got from smallest to biggest, with biggest on the back. I think plotthound also has 24" on his and he had problems with tires over 76". There seems to be quite a bit in size differences for the same size tires.

Well I have all 8 tires and a spare on. I just have this extra LARGE one laying around. I bought them quite some time ago, so return is not an option. Just looking into ideas to see what I can do with it. Maybe I'll get the gumption to try the oven thing.
