  • adair track adjustment?

well I have been running them for over a year and they have been great. I have noticed, with heavy bumps I am getting a bit of 'slap' of the track to the tub above the track. It is probably time to take a link or so out(tire pressures good.) I searching the forum, I have not seen a walk through on this proceedure. Any pictures or general thoughts on how to do this?

What kind of Adair tracks do you have?

You went a year without having to adjust them. I am amazed, I have to do an adjustment on mine about every 8 hours of riding. You should have a half link setup that was included with the set(for extended width track). You unbolt them at the master link, cut the chain and for a half link adjustment bolt the chain ends together instead of using the master link. Pulling the valve out of the valve stem and using a shop vac to suck all the air out of the tires, then putting the valve back in to hold them that way makes it easier to bolt the track back together.

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level, then beat you to death with stupidity!

Yea I got the wide ones, 18.5 I think?

Thx for advise on deflation, that seems easier. So u either use master link or for 1/2 the adjustment u bolt them?

How much droop should be in the track after adjusted?
