  • 1995 Argo response/ tires for corn fields?

Hi there, I am new to the forum and our Argo is our first AATV. Just curious, it has the original tires on it, will they hold up to corn stalks and bean stubble? I know the old atv tires (we have an old Honda 110) do not hold up well to it. If the originals will not hold up to it, are there any suggestions? Thank you

I guess what I'm asking is, are 2 ply tires enough? or is there a tire a bit heavier duty? Thanks again.

Modern rubber is FAR more durable than it was back in the 60's and even 70's. Back then you wouldn't think of taking a long car trip with out 1 or even 2 full sized spares....compare that to today when many new cars do not even come with a doughnut spare.

To answer your question: Yes the tires will hold up, but it will be a rough ride. Keep in mind though that your 1995 is nearing 20 y.o., and the original tires are at the end of their life. Tire manufacturers usually say 7-8 years for tire lifespan. So if you did have a flat, it would not be the fault of the corn stalks.
