Has anyone worn out Adair Classic Tracks? I'm thinking about getting some but wanted to know about how long they would last on average. I know it depends on what you are driving on, I'm just looking for a ball-park idea.
MaxIV Mark has really put his through the ringer. He has had to remove a few sections here and there. My understanding of the classics is, they are rebuildable. You can buy new chain once it has stretched too far and replace the old stuff. I would guess you could do this 2-3 times before you would just want a new set all together. The belted tracks should last just as long, but without the need to replace the chain. I know that doesn't give you an hour or time usage reference, but like you said, it depends on how you use them.
The classic tracks have a belted design and don't use chains. I doubt that you ever wear a set out. My guess is that the machine would die before the classic design was worn out. I haven't seen the classic tracks in the mud or swimming but I do know that by virtue of the design they lower the overall gear ration, my guess is they would be exceptional in mud and swamp condition and very good in light snow.
That's good to know. I've been looking at some YouTube videos of them in pudding mud and they look like the trick for the kind of conditions I keep running into.
I really do think the Classic track system is the best deal going, reasonable price, long lasting, durable, etc., its the biggest bang for the buck for an amphibious atv.
