  • Duro tires for Conquest

I found some Duro HF255 Ag tires for around $65 each 22x11x8 4 ply Chevron type. Has anyone used these tires on a conquest? If so how do the work in the water, and zero radius turning. There rated at 5 psi. so they must be balloon type tires. Thanks.

Those swim like a rock. Many people have tried modifying the tread and have limited to no luck with water movement.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Drew, you're thinking of the 23x10.50x12 version of these tires.....those won't swim well. But the 21x11-8 size is exactly like the Kenda and Carlisle tread design. They'll ride rough, but they will swim. There are less expensive options out there, especially if you go with the Carlisles. hi ,
HF255 26/12/12 fitted to swamp fox swim ok
        HF255 22/11/8 fitted to 1988 argo 6x6 swim ok
both are fitted reverse or the direction for swimming

Max water speed is approx. the same
The 22/11/8 are slightly more comfortable than the 26/12/12
        air pressure 1--3lbs
At the same pressure the 22/11/8 seems softer in the side wall

Terra grips were fitted to the ssfox originally but they were in very poor condition major rotting swim better than the HF255

        40%hard pack fine beach sand
10% super soft fine beach sand
        30% soft coarse river sand
20% 12 inch deep beach tidal mud

Ps the hf255 do skid steer/turn easily, same as the terra grips
The argo had knobby quad tyres originally and it was very hard to steer
Bear claw tyres were fitted very very good traction , poor skid steering , swimming ability almost nothing
Argo now has the duro hf255 good all rounders

None as yet. I'm looking for the best bang for the buck to replace all 8 tires and wheels on my conquest. Light mud and some water. Mostly for messing around an light Duck Hunting..

                Shot,

I just purchased the AT101 Carlisle's for my 8x8 response. They were $565 to my door with the free shipping (But charged $8 per tire for oversize items). I mostly use mine for duck hunting as well and wanted the best bang for my buck as the new argo tires were about 1200 not mounted. I have mounted up 4 of the tires and they are looking good just smaller than the stock tires. I cant wait to try them out in the mud this weekend as my stock tires were balding. The upside to from what i have read here on the forum is that I can run tracks with these tires if I ever decide to buy some.

Throw a picture of them all mounted up if you get a chance.

How did they work? I saw the $8.00 per tire added shipping fee for oversize items. That is just the shipping charge under another name.
