  • are my tracks stretched ?

    Hi,

I bought a used argo 705hdi with 1500 kms on it. When i installed the tracks for winter use they went on with no effort. My tires are spinning out inside the tracks when in the bush putting around etc. Im running the stock argo tires and tracks. Im in a wheelchair so I'm hoping it's not a major repair or mod needed. Any info would be appreciated.

What style of tracks are you running? What psi do you have in your tires? This could help id the problem. If it is the standard plastic tracks then the pins may be worn as an example...
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

I also would check the psi first,by far the easiest to fix by adding air,I run about 7 psi in my tracked HDI.
Second, if that doesn't do it,and the tracks are still really loose, you can remove a section of track. This is the second best option to try without spending $.
If this is too much, even with letting out air, the next step is to order a half section of track, this will do it.
I had a guy with the same problem on his 6x6,the tracks were really loose, and we solved the issue by taking out a section, which made the tracks "tight",we let out some air,and called it good.
