I have a 94 max 2 with hollow non splined axles. I really like the vampire tires. I have great riding right from my house, couple big ponds a lake, lots of swamp and trails. What size tires (vampires?) can I use? Or should I just buy something like a max 4 that's set up for those? Please help, these at101s I'm running just aren't doing it.. Thanks in advance. Norm...

I wouldn't go larger than 22" tires with hollow axles. There are a couple options as far as 22" tires go. If you can find them, 22" Goodyear Rawhide III tires are great in the mud, offer a great ride, and are decent in the water. You could also go with 22" GBC Gators. There's also the Super Swamper TSL/ATV in 22". They don't swim well, and aren't as aggressive as the regular TSL Vampires, but they're still very good in the mud.

If you want to go with a larger tire, then yes, get a second machine like a Max IV or Hustler 980 BIGFOOT. Keep the collection growing!"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

The Hustler 980 BIGFOOTs are one of the best AATVs ever made in my opinion. I love mine and won't ever sell it. They're getting harder to find and the prices for them keep going up, so if you see a deal, jump on it ASAP. The Max IV is a good machine and they're much more common. Either way, you'll be happy, so keep checking Craigslist. Looking forward to riding as well. If you ever get caught out on a ride because of a broken throttle cable, take your shoelace out, remove the engine cover, and tie the shoe lace around the little head that the throttle cable end goes into. You can then work the throttle by hand.....it isn't fun, but at least this way you can limp the machine back home.Originally posted by Normable1973 View PostThanks Jeff, I rode Fred's 980 Bigfoot tall tub and that thing is bad ass. It's gonna be a 980 or a 4 .hopefully we can ride together soon. Took out max 2 last night and throttle cable broke while in the lake, took a while to get it out by myself. Thanks..
