  • Non-pneumatic tires

Just curious if any had heard about this and formulated any ideas about the airless tire?

It's called the TerrainArmor tire and has been around since 2012 or so. It is available on the civilian version of their military model. The company has fitted the tires on some of their side by sides that have been donated for rescue work.

Looks like they would hold mud really well and not add to the buoyancy of an amphib.

Ya, but will it float? The tires help for flotation in water

I checked into similar tires for my Bobcat 553 last year. The tires were the price equivalent of buying four complete sets (16 tires) of the standard tires. I just got a normal set of four and forgot the idea of the non pneumatics.
