Hello all I am thinking about getting a set of Adair tracks for my big foot it has 25 12 9 tires on it now which is no good for these tracks I was told I needed the new 22 inch argo tire with rims so they would work. Not a cheep change over just wondering if I could use the 9 inch rims off the big foot and use a different tire I have 6 lined up 22 10 9 trac gard tires thinking it would work with these tracks not sure any advice thanks.

It depends on if you plan to use your Argo without tracks at some point. Knobbies are no good at all on an amphib without tracks. Adair offers a good price on the track package with the 22" Argo tires. You can then use your Argo with only tires as it performs fairly well just like the old Vanguard models that used the 22" Runamuks. You could also quickly swap your 25" Rawhides back on, if you don't use those rims for the knobbies. Or, you can sell the Rawhide tires on the rims to recover some cost and just use the 22" Argo tire when you don't need tracks. Lots of choices there but you already made the right one by going with Adair tracks, so you're good to go!Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.

I had an 02 bigfoot with the 161/2" adair chain tracks before I upgraded to the hd 650. I think you might find yourself never wanting to take the tracks off. (except for mantainance) I tried it twice without the tracks both times stuck in the same hole that the adairs walked through like it was on the lawn. check with adair on your tire choice. and sell the rawhides. Once you have tracks you'll never go back to rubber again.

I would think that you will have to decide on where you are going to be riding your machine. Here in Newfoundland there are many different types of terrain. There are a lot of places where we have hard trails, swamps, marsh, stumps and a lot of rocks. There is a reason why Newfoundland is called "The Rock".
After talking to a couple of forestry officers and reading the regulations you will have to be very careful where you ride as "ATVs" are no longer allowed on swamps. AATVs fall under these regs. This now limits where you can take your machine. The forestry officer told me that the first fine can be $500.00 and you could also loose your machine. Not worth the risk. I have seen a few signs being posted around where I ride that state "NO ATVs ALLOWED". To much damage being done to the wetlands by quads so we are all being branded with the same iron.Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
