Planning to purchase a new Argo and looking to put together the ultimate waterfowl hunting rig for this fall. Plan on running in mostly swampy conditions, lily pads, cat tails, mud, etc. Who makes the best tracks to get around in these conditions. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks

Everyone I know with Adair tracks has been very happy with them. I've driven machines with them and been on many rides with people who have them, and they work great in the conditions you describe. Also, the guys at Adair Argo sales are really helpful and give great customer service!l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Although I have no other experience with any other set of tracks and only have ever owned one amphib, I have dealt with a lot of customer service. Adair remains at the top for quality customer service. Plus, their tracks work well in mud and snow for my purposes and when I finally take it out hunting this year I am confident I won't have any issues.

Here is another "mud oriented clip" more suited to where ducks would live compared to coal soup.

Thin steel grousers bite into wood, ice and frozen ground, thick UHMW float better but less bite. My decision to go with Escargo was I don't know how long plastic grousers will last and if they might break in really cold conditions.
If your not in the northern conditions where we get -35 or colder that can make a difference to your decision. All Tracks are good but it's your intended use and budget?
I paid $4500.00 for the tracks and $425.00 delivery to my house.
Either way, enjoy.

From the replies you can see that the tracks you use depends on what you intent to do with them. For Frozen ground and ice conditions the Escargo track is a very good system. For swamp and mud conditions they are heavy and don't swim as well as the Adair tracks, Escargo tracks are also more expensive.
Since you intent to use the tracks for swamp and mud conditions I would recommend the Adair Pro track belted design. In side by side test the Adair's will out swim an Escargo and as far as swamp and mud conditions, I think that this video and the other posted videos will speak for them selves.
As you watch this video I want you to know that several of these mud holes and swamp areas were in accessible to even the most high dollar lifted quads who tried in vane to make it through some of these mud holes and swamp areas.
2014SE, before this morning I have never seen any of your videos, they are very, very impressive. I have great respect for you guys in the North who take your machines out into the deep snow. The videos Buzz posted of the Escargo tracks on frozen ground speak for themselves, in conditions sure as these the Escargo system is very, very nice.

This video you posted was cool too. I'm looking forward to spring and summer action with the Argo.
All tracks are good, The video that Buzz posted clinched my decision to buy Escargo tracks. Worth every penny.
I like to go out and play now that I got time and cash flow to support the habit and will be posting more videos.Last edited by 2014SE; 02-13-2014, 11:51 PM.sigpic
