I would "love" to have a pair of wider tires to build an elevated-belt Hybrid style track for. It would be an outstanding combination. I dream of a wider Vendetta that would improve the p.s.i. of the vehicle on just tires. It could make the optimum set up for an elevated belt track on a machine that was going to transition over all terrain types.

Why not just call Matt and get in on the initial order of his new 16"wide wide Vendetta FatCat tires like I did. Production is scheduled for February 11. You should be able to burn through at least a couple sheets of UHMW trying to track them.

aaaaah man. You're making me jealous again Keith. As much as I'd love to have a set, more tires are the last thing I need right now. In fact, I should probably stop thinking about it or I"ll find a way to talk myself into it.
Here's an example of a crosser I know could be adapted to that tire and made from 1.5" UHMW if wanted, slotted for steel flat bar, and (1) 4x10 sheet will yield a complete set of tracks to be cost-effective. This drawing is basically the same overall width as the picture on the right but with a wider tire area. You'd just decrease the belt-mounting width by 2" on either side and increase the tire area by 2" either side. Place more material out on the edges and choose your method of fastening with an elevated belt. You could run wider belts that would hang over if you wanted.
Aaaah..... I really don't "need" those tires at the moment.Last edited by Buzz; 02-01-2014, 04:01 AM.
