  • Holeshot style tires

Ok, here is the deal. I just got my adapters back. There made to adapt the 3 lug to Yamaha 4 lug so I can run custom aluminum wheels. The wheels are 9'' wheels and I will be running mostly in rocks, dirt and sand. Not much water but maybe just a little. This is going on my attex chief. Tire size will be 22x10x9 or 22x11x9. Im looking to buy a set of tires but do I want the balloon style tires or can I run the flat style like holeshots that you see on the rear of many quads. Any ideas and what if any problems to running these style tires? Thanks

My opinion only, had a set of Shreaders on a 8x8, squared tires seemed to require excessive force to turn do to too much bite. The rounded tires seem to aid in turning.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

ARGOJIM Is right I am running a flat tread tire. on my 8x8 right now. And without the tracks its very hard to turn. I would go a more rounded tire. I went to this type of tire only for the tracks. It gives the tracks a flatter surface to run on. Less twisting of the track when you are ridding on the outer edge of the track.
