That sounds less expensive.....great to hear.

Now back to the grinding noise....Did they find that problem?
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

They think that the transmission wasn't totally engaged. Its a theory, we will see.

It's possible the cable was adjusted just enough and then stretched a tad making it not enough to drop into low fully.
Just a side note when shifting to low listen or feel for engagement just off idle, often when in the mud or with tracks on the little jerk you feel from high to low can't happen as the tires can't move and requires a little light on off throttle.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Thanks, I'll make a point of checking and adjusting the cable... and watching for the engagement.

Wow Sard, sorry to hear you having issues like that with a new machine! I hope that you get the chance to find out what that machine will really do very soon.

I'd think your dealer has addressed it if you mentioned the grinding noise. Good luck with your trip.

Sounds like the dealer setup wasn't up to par IMHO
