    All,

I install a set of Escargo tracks put 20 hours on rig crossed two rivers and numinous mud holes haul moose through bug brush over your head and never got stuck once. My advise for Alaska is if you want a work horse that is slower than wheels and don't like to pack moose spend the money and go with Escargo tracks the metal ones not plastic from Canada.

    Thanks Ron j.

Well, that's good to hear Ron. That's usually my advice, spend the money once.
You know I've tried a lot of experimenting with different tracks up here, including countless tweaked versions of the Escargo crosser style built with UHMW. Each time I've changed something hoping to make improvements, overall performance/driveablity has been compromised. And, you just can't beat the traction of the all-steel no matter what you do. It's the track I hang my hat on in Alaska's backcountry, and I'll admit I haven't been able to make one that's better. I'd love to see some pictures at some point if you have any! Take care

I had good customer support with Alain in Timmins Canada anyone who wants his phone number I'll supply it. The dealer in US was high on quote. I'll send pictures if I can figure out this I pad. You know it's hard to teach a old dog new tricks. Buzz thanks for the reply.
