Nice Job, Now do the hard work and give us the step by step process you used to build them. I'm sure a lot of guys on here, like me, wouldn't dish out the 2-3 grand or more to buy a set of factory tracks.

I started with some conveyor belt that has a tread pattern. Just using a razor knife, I cut two, 2 inch wide strips long enough to go around the tires. I think it was about 15 ft long. Then 1 inch wide strip, the same length. Next, I made the treads out of strips of the conveyor belt, 14" long, 1.5" wide. The two wide strips go on the edge, the 1 inch strip, in the middle. I also put the tread of of the inch strip turned toward the tires. Believe it or not, the wheel guides are two triangle pieces of oak with a little spacer. I bolted it altogether, it seems to work. I only made it for snow. I know this a quick explanation, but there wasn't much to it.

Nice build that seems to work well, tracks looks loose and hope you don't throw them.

I might have to tighten them, but I didn't want them too tight. I wanted to avoid any chain winding. Each track is about 45lbs, I was concerned about the weight, but I think with it spread over three axles it should be ok. I'm happy so far.

looks like something was hitting the side of the body on that one side you might be careful as it might rub a hole in the body

Here's some more video of me testing my homemade track. It is going to be a work in progress. You will see that the track definitely needs to to tightened and some of my oak wheel guides are not holding up, but I think the concept is good. Thanks for the encouragement, and I hope this helps other diy'ers. Locolouie, you're got a good eye. A piece of track needed yo be trimmed, thanks.

they are working amazingly well. i know the ones i made using belting stretched for a while, and i had to tighten them up a few times till they stopped streching. it looks like because they are loose, the tires are hitting the guides when you turn. once they are tight i think you will be good to go. run a piece of 3/16'' x 1'' wide flatbar across each end of the track about 4'' back from where they connect. bolt it to each of the side belts and middle belt. that way you can draw the tracks tight with a ratchet strap and connect them again however you are doing that. let all the air out first and do it with the machine up off the ground. that way each time you tighten them you still have extra belt left to connect with. even 6'' back would be good. hope this helps. johnboy va.
