  • super tracks are loose

So after replacing all the track pins in my super tracks, my tracks definitely got shorter. the pins were worn almost half way through. So then comes the problem. when I put the tracks on they were too tight I think. So I put on the half track segment and they are too loose. The tires spin inside the track when under heavy load, like going up hill in alot of snow. It almost seem like they are slightly looser then there were when I installed them this fall. How much sag should there be? if I push down between the tires the tracks will push down about 4 inches. Does that seem right? On my old Bigfoot I dont remember there being that much sag. Byt that was quite a few years ago

What tire pressure are you running? I usually end up getting the final adjustment with tire pressure. The tires just keep growing with more air but will stretch out and stay there if to high. Is this a 6x6 or 8x8? The 8x usually have about 2-3 inches off sag at center with just track weight.

Proper adjustment with 22's and 3 pounds is 2-1/2 inches needed to close the tracks, sag is not as important and can be hurtful in plastic tracks (4 inch drop connected).

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

It's a argo bigfoot 6x6. I usually run between 3-3 1/2 depending on how my junk gage is feeling that day. When I put the tracks on I didn't have to use much force at all with these tracks. On my 6x6 that I had before, it took a ratchet strap on both sides to get them together. I also hardly ever had track slippage. That's what makes me think that I need to get rid of the half segment

Take the half out and see how it feels. Air down slightly if needed, we use 6 inch Channelock pliers which work well requiring effort to put the pin in.
