The weather has begun to change and so have my interests. I have an Argo Vanguard 6x6, looking to maximize snow grab while not losing flexibility on dry land. The obvious answer is to put on tracks but I'm not ready to make that buy just yet. I need new tires because the ones I have on are racing slick smooth and 2 of them keep losing air. What would you recommend for snow travel?

I have 22" duros on the 6x6 in that video Snow was 13" deep total but you can tell I had already been around the track a few times. My throttle was broke so that was full throttle. I would not use chains one comes off could do a lot of damage. I had trouble when I started to make that little track in the backyard. Just remember once your tub starts dragging you will saddle bag eventually if the snow keeps getting deeper. I think you could have bigger tires on your argo than my attex. Get a winch if your going out in snow. I thought about getting a homemade sled drag together to keep the trails open this year and keep the middle hump down below the attex tub
good luck
Chains are your call
You could carry some just in case you need the chains
Maybe someone else who has used chains will chime in on the subject
