Are the new vendetta tires really that great? how do they swim? Are they good in the mud? How do they compare to the old good year terra tire? I assume its better since mudd ox is putting on the max iv.

In my opinion the Vendettas are everything they claim to be. I did a fair test at Ashtabula. The first year with Goodyear the next with Vendettas on the same max IV in the same mud sloughs. I have the 16" version and the first thing you will notice is the better ride and traction. The soft side walls give them the ability to Wrap around obstacles. There's been some videos and discussion on here but not much mentioned about their ability to skid steer really nice as well. For a wide tire they just seem to be easier on the machine. They don't swim as fast as the Goodyears though I'm told the 14" swim much faster. At 3 pounds of air in each brand of tire I was able to go through more mud and climb the clay river banks where I couldn't with the Goodyears. Big difference.
Having said all that I still run the Goodyears on my fishing Max due to their ability to swim so good. Especially with the body sag and formed "wheel wells". I also like their ridged construction for going through the woods where they logged and not have to worry about flats. But the ride reflects their ruggedness as well. So I guess it depends what you're lookin for in a tire. Again this is my long winded opinion I hope it helps you with your decision.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

if i was going to go with a vandetta I think I would go with the 26x12-12 so I could fit it in my shed, I don't have much room for a wider tire.
