  • Tires for factory Argo tracks

So I can't seem to find a true answer to my problem/question. I bought an Argo conquest, it came with old rotted out runamucks and it came with factory 18" tracks. I have found some old stock 22-10-11 runamucks and I see that argoadventure now has their version of the runamuck but want $150 each and I'm not spending $1200 on tires. The new old-stock runamucks are a good price but I want other options. What is out there at a decent price that will fit the factory tracks?

22-10-8 not 22-10-11 on the tire size

If you are going to run the tracks all the time or if you aren't going to be swimming, there are cheaper options. Some members run the Duro HF243 style tire. There are several different variants with the same tread pattern like the Carlisle Stryker tire for example. You should be able to get those for $70-80 each but they don't swim very well. Search the tire forum for those two tires and you should see some threads with detailed information about their performance.

I have seen the Stryker's but they were listed as 11" wide. Will a 22-11-8 work with the factory Argo tracks? I would like to be able to swim but cost is a factor. I found the old runamucks for $80 each free shipping but they also don't look very aggressive

Strikers are closer to 12 than 11, new runamuks are the best bet if you can't do the Argo tire.

The runamucks are being made again. You can get them from MuddOx or Cedar Rapids Tire. The price will be right around what you have there for old stock.

Maybe they are new stock then. I just assumed old stock bc I didn't realize they were being made again.

I am running the Strykers in my Chanel tracks and they would be too wide for plastic Argo tracks.

Thanks thorn that is the answer I was looking for. I went ahead and ordered a set of Runamucks. Not as aggressive as I would have liked but I know they will swim and I know they will work with the tracks.

I got them from ATVtires.com. They were $640 delivered for 8. I ordered on Monday and they will be here tomorrow (Wednesday) they are located in Iowa and I'm in Wyoming so I can't complain about turnaround time. Cedarrapidstire.com has them for $72 but charges shipping.

Man which ones were you looking at? The 22-10-8's were only $80 each on Monday. Like I said $640 total for 8 for the Goodyear runamucks. Now 3 large boxes (mine shipped 2 per box) to Canada I'm sure isn't cheap but the tires shouldn't have been that much.
