More Newb Questions, this timw "tracks" !

Ok, some of you will already know im new to ownership, i have a magnum 8 wheel, i also have Standard Snow tracks. I know guys are running adiare and escargo tracks in the swamp and mud but do guys ever run standards snow tracks in mud and swap? Do they work in this situation ? Just curious before I make an ass of myself. LOL thanks

Standard tracks will still work good all around just not ass good due to the lack of lug of paddle in or on the tracks,they will never be good as adairs but they are better then just standard tires,just make sure there is not to much hard surfaces,his will be hard on bearing and probably break and axle if you don't have new axles.

From what I have seen and heard that don't work well in Souppy mud. Seam to slip on top and not dig you out !
Need Good Grouser bars for that ! (Cleats)

Standards Tracks we are talking about will work decent but like wedge said they are not like adairs or snow 18 inch tracks they will slip and not get you where you want to go,due to like no lug whatsoever on the tracks

The standard plastic tracks do work in mud and slop but not nearly as well as the more aggressive track designs do, but they do work better than tires alone when the terrain is very soft. I ran the 13" plastic tracks a few times in the swamp just to see how they performed compared to tires. In the really soft stuff they were great compared to the 21" tires I was wearing but for almost every other condition in the summer months they really sucked hard. I think the biggest concern running them in mud is they will not last long at all, the abrasion from the grit will wear out the hinge pin holes very fast. Save them for the snow.

my buddy has a hdi with thes 18 inch snow tracks and they are great for snow and mud

The rubber tracks to work well if you are traveling swampy areas that have vegetation. In that situation, they float you over stuff that you will not be able to cross with tires. As soon as you sink down in the muck, though, they become worthless. Once that happens, fire up the winch and get back on the grass.
