  • Max rubber tracks

I've sent some emails to the new RI company trying to find out if they make the same rubber track that was sold with the max 4, years ago, for the max 2. I've heard you can cut and make the tracks from the max4 tracks work on a max 2 but the knowledge that I have, and the luck, I'd like to see about purchasing the track made for the machine. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated. I haven't had any reply from the company, other than someone called me and said there still in transition.

The factory Max IV tracks your talking about have 2 factory splices in them already, they are made from 2 sections of snowmobile track and are held together by flexco bolt together lacing exactly like the image below. There are 2 seams with this style fastener in each track.

If I were to modify the Max IV tracks fit a Max II I would cut one of these bolt together lacing splices out completely and replace it with a Flexco 550 lacing. The Flexco 550 has a hinge pin setup to allow you to lay the track on the ground and drive onto it then connect the two ends together with the hinge pin like the factory Argo tracks.

Zuk I looked at mine and saw the splice, thanks for the pic and the info on the flexco,it shure makes it easier seeing it, does this mean they don't make that style track for a max 2? I can't even find this style new for my max 4. I do see used ones and I do not have any opposition to them but if I can just buy new then I know how long it takes for me to tear them up and what I need to do for having replacements. Off subject I hear it's been cold up your way. Alaxandria bay was -5 the other day with northwest winds at 25. OUCH that's cold

Those and the waffle style were only offered by Max as far as I know in the proper configuration. Unless you find a used set , something else needs to happen.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
