  • Water tread tires Max II

    I would just wondering if anyone on this forum knows what kind of tires this person is using on this max?

    Or if not what is most recommended, tires, for water because most of my use is for creeks and streams were mostly you go from gravel shallow water and occasionally a pool of water never in any water very swift.

    It's hard to find videos of Max in deep water , most of the ones I have found are combination mud and swamps but this video it looks like these tires really get the job done.

    That's actually a pretty good water speed.

    The new Argo tires do a nice job but if you use them, you'll have to modify the front of the tub to get them to fit. Goodyear Runamucks are also good in the water but the tread wears off quickly (soft). Goodyear Rawhide IIIs may not be as fast but they're more durable than the other two.

      Thanks George, I didn't think these videos was going to playback correctly on forum and I reviewed my post it didn't show correctly. Anyway thanks for your quick reply I have Goodyear Rawhide III maybe I am expecting a little bit too much.

        @1" Goodyears

        The tires on that MaxII are the 21" Goodyear rawhides, most of the MaxII owners say that the 21" tires seem to swim better than the 22" rawhide III's

            Sorry if this is too old to bring to the top but I discoverd someting... The guy is floating downstream in a river and could never get this speed on still water. Notice no video of him comming back. So, this brings me back to to Brandon Price's video of the 24" Frontier. These are what I must have but want to be certain on the mods required and the expense. I am told by Brandon that I will have to reform the wheel wells but not he was not sure about the external exhauset.

            Does anyone know the definitive list of prereqisites required to run 24" Frontiers on a 99 Max II running 22 rawhide III's?

            Thanks
