  • Different style tire

Was curious if there is a cheaper route you can do on a 1981-86 8 wheel argo. As for what I found the regular argo tires are around $200 a tire. Just curious if there is a cheaper tire to just drive around grid roads and a little fun in the mud. Thanks.

Do you have a link or part#?
Are they good for water propulsion?

Thanks for editing that link in! Very reasonable price.
They are a little bit wider than my other tires but I can keep the old ones for when running my tracks.

For how much I'm gunna be in water it doesn't really matter. Will be more mud than anything. Going to be using it this winter to pull the icefishing shack.

I run these in 22" on a max2, price definitely played a factor.

Don't use it to swim much, they do awesome in the mud, they do NOT skid well on pavement, but i rarely have to turn on it at all. I'll be removing the extra lugs between chevrons as soon as I get my machine back from getting some mods done. (and find some time)

I was hoping someone would remove the knobbies and report back on the tire then.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
                    Joe Camel never does that.

I haven’t removed them yet. I have played with pressure and have actually found that running them a little higher (max pressure is 5psi on the sidewall, which is what I’ve been running) they skid much better and actually are a lot more comfortable on the ride. At 0-1psi they seem to bounce a lot, 4-5 seem to ride a bit smoother.

Was going to try cutting them this week, but have to replace a starter in it now. Always something to play around with

Need new tires but price is the biggest factor here.
What are your opinions between these two tires? Carlisle Stryker or the Duro (Deestone).
Similar tread design and price point. I will be considering removing the small lugs between the ribs.
Not going to be used primarily in the water but do want to use the first A in AATV once in a while.

                          First
Carlisle is big full 22" or so and wide 12" will not fit in tracks, Duro is about or under 22" and narrow.
