  • New to Argos have a few questions

I just got my first Argo it’s a 01 Bigfoot 6x6 and I will mostly be using it for ice fish . I’m wanting to get tracks for it what’s tracks should I run on it ? And is there anyplace in canada to buy some thanks

Most folks say the Argo rubber tracks are best for ice fishing and snow as well as other conditions like swamp and muskeg.
Argo also sells the standard and wide plastic tracks but most say they and not effective on ice without ice cleats.
Then you have the Canadian made Chanel tracks which look pretty aggressive in most conditions.
Other aftermarket tracks are available too...just google “Argo tracks” on YouTube. Good luck!

It's hard to beat rubber tracks for ice and snow. We have both rubber and plastic tracks and the plastic have no grip on ice and snow, or pavement for that matter.

I would read as much as possible on here and make your own determination, plastic tracks without studs or ice cleats would be a challenge, but with them could prove to be what you like.
There are Argo dealers selling rubber and plastic and aftermarket manufacturers make both (some in Canada) there are also often times used ones on Kijii. (however you spell that)

What tracks are harder on bearings and stuff . Just so many options out there don’t want to waist a bunch of money on a track that’s not good .

Any track will decrease chain and bearing life, keep reading the threads, and avoid the bias.
