  • rawhideIII: can i repair?

i have a rawhide 3 tire on my max II that the steel belts or rings tore out of the rubber around the inner rim, and the sidewall doesn't make a nice tight circle in the shape of the rim anymore. am i able to use a tube to push it into shape around the tire, or do i need a new tire? there aren't any in the area, so i have to find one and have it shipped if i need a new one.

If the tire bead has been damaged or otherwise compromised, a tube will not have the structural integrity to hold up. You will likely need to replace that tire.

You probably should replace the tire. You might want to try Bike Bandit or Tires Unlimited. Both places will be much cheaper and be of better quality than the tires that Route6x6 is selling.
