  • I can't find any Vampires

It appears Interco Corp. is shipping their manufacturing operations to China and there will be at least a 60 day delay before the Vampires will be supplied again to their vendors.

I need the 22x12.5-9 Vampires for my Hustler. I have to go with nothing larger than 22" because of clearance to the side mounted 2 stroke exhaust system.

Rims from Matt are also on the agenda, but I've got to find these tires first.

Does anyone know where to find some?

    Thanks,
    Roy

If they are going to be made in China expect quality problems. You might want to wait and see if the tires from China are as good as the ones that were made in the U.S. before you buy them.

Hopefully they will have the same quality controll. I try to avoid "made in China" too, but most companies based elsewhere that just have the manufacturing done in China still have the same quality as before, usually. Still hate having "China" on anything that is more than a trinket

I have been involved with moving several produt lines to China and there is always problems for the first 3 to 6 months. If they change the rubber supplier, which is very likely, the tires might ride much rougher. China is not know for following metal, plastic, or rubber, materail specifications. We finally had to bring the manufacturing of the rubber parts back to the U.S.

I was just doing a little digging and Summit Racing of all places appears to have quite a selection of Vampires.

I called them and they said they would be out of stock for a while. But hey, you might want to give them a call and try. The might have some by now.

There is a big problem with the newer mexican 28"EDL vampire vs. its older American made version. . .
the USA's were 28" tall, the Mexican 28's barely measure 27"
The chinese 28's will probably measure 26" tall
