Ok, I am trying to understand the tire decision and I have a couple questions.
1. The Runamucks just look like worn out sand (dune) tires (like the Kenda Sand Gecko or similar). Why not replace 2 or 4 of the 8 tires with those for swimming? (They happen to be comparatively cheap.)
2. I read one post that stated that in order for an Argo to run tracks, it has to have the Runamucks on it. I don't understand why we can't just run the same diameter of any style.
3. I put the tracks on because I was not getting traction on ice or snow with my Runamucks. Maybe they are just worn too low, or aren't good winter tires to begin with?
4. Maybe I could forgo the tracks (which are loud and ride rough on hard snowpack/ice) and just get better tires and carry chains?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
