Tory, that picture that you posted. Is that the way that they swim the best? I'm in the market for some 25" tires for my Max II and this may be what I need. The best mud tire and the best swimmer...sounds too good to be true?

They only swim one way so the trick that I use is to run the front tires with the v forward and the back 4 with the v facing backwards. This allows me to have good bite coming out of the hole with the other 4 still pushing water. In reverse the front two work very well in the water getting you out of tight spots. These tire are very Tuff and with all the abuse I throw at them I have never put a hole in them broke a bead or a lug. You'll never find a tire that does it all as good as this one. If you do let me know! The only down fall of these tire's on a max two is if your local mud is tacky and snow balls on your tires you will quickly lose any clearance you gained with the heat gun. If your kinda mud is the runny kind these tire's work great.

Mike, if they swim, the only negative is they're not real wide on the 10" wide rims, which leaves the wheel bead exposed to getting caught on stuff. Can't barrel through the ruts with abandon like you do now. Well, maybe you can, doesn't seem to stop Tory. My tires/wheels are the same way and I have got used to it. You might be ok as long as Jennifer doesn't drive it . Probably not as much an issue on the lightweight II as it is on my front heavy argo.

mike i talked to goodyear a few monts ago .they are going to stop making all smal tires except the mtr . tatian makes goodyears small and atv tires and the guy said , that titan had gone up on price so goodyear was not buying anymore . mike might want to check out the changshin jackel looks like the raw3 . tread robbie .

So they swim, Tory? I saw them on Jon's Bigfoot before you bought it, at Haspin. It was a very slick weekend and they were the best mud tire there. I thought he said they didn't swim very well, but they were mounted in the normal mud traction direction. It did seem to back out of a soupy hole ok. Maybe the wider axle spacing helps on the II.. I didn't pay attention to which way you have them facing on your II.

The Rawhide ATT 25x11x9 tire with the Mudd Ox rim is the best kept secret in the amphibious world hands down. Dont confuse these tire's with the Rawhide 3 tires becouse they are not the same. I have over 70 tires in my shop and the Rawhide ATT's are the best all around amphibious tire hands down. You can finally keep your tire plugs and air compresor at home becouse with the Mudd Ox rims you can run these tires flat and not worry about debeading or punctures. With no air at all they will ride like a 4 ply tire with 2.5 pounds of air. Their water speed is great and they are the fastest water tire I have ever used on a Max 2. I would have to drag race a machine with the new Frontier tire's to know which is faster for sure but the Argo tire does not score as high in other area's. As for mud I would pit them against any tire on the market. Remember you might find a more aggresive looking mud tire but if it does not swim your just dead in the water. They also ride great becouse you use little or no air. I have found that if your running at high speed you may want to run 2.5 pounds of air on the front of the Argo or rear of a Max to keep from denting a rim on a rock. Check out the picture of my Max and notice how high these tire's run with no are in them.

As Mike state its pretty open minded. There are to many variable to say a specific tire. What kind of terrian do you ride on mostly and is water speed a priority or not really? Id ask the question that way.

Rawhide IIIs are very popular, tough and perform well. Runamucks are pretty common also. Both are run with the tread reversed for better water speed.

Welcome to the site. I moved your thread here to the tire and wheel forum. Your question is very open ended. You can get a good feel for what people are running if you will just read through this forum. That's probably your best bet.
