Do you need special tires to go in the water?

I just tried my Attex in the water and it would not go at all. Do you need special tires. Mine are knobby. Any ideas? What am I missing?

u need atleast cheveron tread "V" .....

Knobby tires will not make our machines swim. Take a look in the ATTEX picture gallery and other galleries to get an idea of what people use and just as important how they are mounted. In general the rawhide or chevron tires work well and they are most efficient with them mounted with the V to the back of the machine (backwards from traditional)

Thanks for the answers. I guess that it will not be swimming any time soon. It looks like $300+ for new tires. Mine are fine except for the tread type.

I was at a yard sale and bought a 1.5 hp electric trolling motor... 10.00 this works well...

I actually have a spare trolling motor. How did you mount it? Did you use a separate battery?
