i run them on my racer (which is also currently my trail machine)... they have been great for everything except swimming. in the water you really need to stand up and rock the machine to make any forward progress. sand, snow, and mud they are awesome. they do seem like they might be a little fragile for use in rocky areas. 3 things to watch out for... 1: they come in 8" and 9" so make sure you order the right ones. 2:they swell a lot under acceleration so if your going to be close on body clearance this is not the tire for you 3: the bead tears REALLY easy so be very careful mounting them

never tried them on ice... i'm in NC and we don't really have those conditions. the rubber is really soft and meant to stay soft in cold weather so i think they would do ok
