I was wondering how the dual wheel set up worked out.How it steers,performance,Wear on axels and bearings.Any suggestions.

When i was a kid one of my parents friend had a vw buggie that had dual tires on the back,He cut some of the center out of the outer rim so that he could get to the lugs on the inter rim and welded them together.Man that thing was cool and it would float the rearend up long enough to get through deep water.I was thinking of doing the same to one of my 6 wheelers,That would cut a good bit of weight out.What do you think???????

by the way, they are 3/4" stock axles
notice the high quality tires..
